Bluewater Glow Wedding Fair

We just want to say a big thank you to everyone involved in the Glow wedding fair at Bluewater from last friday until Sunday. It was a magnificent event with thousands of people through the doors and was really well run and organised.

We had lots of fun speaking to hundreds of wedding couples about our wedding films and photography services and we are looking forward to following up with many of these conversations. If you were one of the great couples that we spoke to over the weekend, we will be getting in touch soon to provide you with your unique offer details. This is the first time we have attended a large scale wedding fair and feel it went really well.

Below is the promotion video, that we were displaying on one of our large screens, the other screen was showing a variety of our cinematic highlights from over the past year, which you can find on our film examples page.

David and Natalie

Selsdon Park Hotel have recently opened their outdoor secret garden, as a great place to hold the wedding ceremony. David and Natalie were one of the first couples to get married in the secret garden and the ceremony looked amazing.

The day was also being filmed by Channel 4 with a four person crew, this with our own three person crew meant space was sometimes at a premium. Yet with the wedding being outdoors we were able to work around each other comfortably to capture all the important moments from a prominent position.

Above is the short wedding highlights from the day. They also receive a longer edited version with soundtrack from the day as well as the complete footage filmed by the main camera.

Amrit and Seema

For this
cinematic plus film, two separate cinematographers were used to cover both the Seema the bride and Amrit the grooms preparations. The main videographer filmed the event as normal while the two cinematographers had a creative role whilst covering two separate perspectives throughout the days events.

The
highlights version above is made up from this cinematic footage, with the edited version combining the videographers and cinematographers footage.

Sikh Bridal Preparation Shots

The above video is a clip from a
Sikh wedding film we are currently editing. We used three separate videographers to capture the wedding day itself, enabling us to record both the grooms and brides wedding preparations with two separate cinematographers.

We usually show allot of highlight or trailer clips and feel we are not really showcasing everything you receive when you book a wedding video through us. These bridal preparations shots would usually form part of your cinematic edited version, which stylises the whole wedding day into a 45 minute to 1 hour short film. You then also receive either a highlights or trailer version and an unedited version from the main videographers footage.

Canon Announces 5D Mark III

canon 5d iii

It seems like forever since Canon released the game changing 5D Mark II , yet Canon have finally announced the 5D Mark III and were excited!

The 5D Mark II has been a great camera for us and has complemented our video camcorders very well. Most of the footage used in our cinematic wedding highlights comes from this camera, due to its film-like quality, size, portability and adaptability ( lenses and mounting options) your able to achieve a variety of great shots very quickly with the Mark II.

Things have moved forward since with many manufacturers offering HD movie recording offerings from their DSLR cameras. It has also pushed manufacturers like Panasonic and Sony bring us more film-like camcorders such as the F3, AF101 and Canon themselves have given us the slightly pricey but awesome C300.

The Canon EOS 5D Mark III will ship in late March. It will have exciting new video features such as the 1D X 61 point focusing system, new compressions, better noise reduction, longer recording times and the all important new headphone jack with audio control! It will also have dual slots to record to either compact Flash Type I/UDMA and SD/SDHC/SDXC cards. The largest improvement over the 5D Mark II will be the increased speed and power that are made possible by the DIGIC 5+ Image Processor. This will enhance the 5D Mark III’s video functions by improving response times and reducing , aberrations and colour artefacts.

We will certainly be trying it out for weddings in 2012.
